A Dream 35 Years in the Making
For 35 years, Laurel Haven owner Jenna Bice held onto a dream of creating a vineyard—a beautiful place where people could gather, celebrate life, and share a bottle of wine surrounded by the vines.
In 2022, that dream finally took root when we planted our first grapevines at Laurel Haven. Today, 2,250 vines stretch across our Lancaster property. Sourced from trusted nurseries in Indiana and New York, each one is now planted, grown, and carefully tended right here on our woman-owned, family-run farm.
This August, we’re beginning to harvest our own grapes. It’s a milestone we’ve imagined for a very long time—and one more step toward the day we can pour a wine made with fruit grown at Laurel Haven.
Come Grow With Us
Vineyards don’t happen overnight. Believe us, we checked. Growing healthy grapes and turning them into beautiful wine takes patience, plenty of work, and more than a little faith.
While our vines mature and our winemaking journey moves forward, the wines we currently pour are made with California-grown grapes. They allow us to share the classic red, white, rosé, and sparkling styles we love while our Lancaster vineyard grows toward its own future vintages.
Every visit, tasting flight, and bottle enjoyed at Laurel Haven helps support this dream. When you visit today, you aren’t arriving before the story begins—you’re becoming part of it.

Great wine grows better with good company. Since South Carolina doesn’t currently have a statewide winegrowers association, we found our people just across the state line.
As proud members of the North Carolina Winegrowers Association, we’re connected with fellow growers and winemakers throughout the region. Their knowledge, encouragement, and shared love of the craft help us keep learning as our vineyard—and the wines it will one day produce—continue to take root.

Can I visit the winery without a reservation?+
Yes! Walk-ins are welcome for wine tastings during regular hours. For large groups or private tastings, we recommend reserving in advance.
